Jon's musical education included traditional counterpoint, composition, analysis and music history in addition to shedding jazz largely on his own. After digesting this education, gigging, teaching and leading student ensembles, Jon has developed concepts that reflect his unique path through music and you may not hear the things taught by him from anyone else. The lesson material will be practical jazz concepts, lessons and general music knowledge while occasionally getting on the "philisoapbox" to convey the message.
